About the Authors

Fred

In a language we're not particularly sure of, Fred means "peaceful ruler". Fred was born in a log cab somewhere in South Nevada. He was recognized for sheer brilliance in messing things up at a very early age and so won a full scholarship to Oxford. There he did research with some of the top scientists in the world on conversations and tried to figure out why they always went bad for him. He has written twelve books up till now, though none of them have actually been published (can't imagine why, really). After Oxford, Fred went to Harvard for ten years just to shake things up a bit. No idea what he did there really, but there was a dorm room that caught on fire during his stay. Fred's lawyer claims the two events are not connected. Anyway, Fred wants to be political dictator when he grows up and spends his spare time writing, doing AP world homework, having awkward conversations with people, battling zombies, setting things on fire, and practicing his inaugural speech for when he takes over the world.

Jabari Jarman Jarrah Juma

Jabari Jarman Jarrah Juma goes by the name of Jarrah mainly because he got tired of being asked what his name was and receiving the creative reply of "Huh?". Most people think that this "unfortunate" name is from his parents but he actually changed his name when he turned 18. His actual name meant "farm with white walls". His new name means "a fearless German eucalyptus tree born on a Friday". Despite the name meaning, Jarrah is not German, was not born on a Friday, and is most likely not a tree. He also gets scared easily. Jarrah has spent countless years studying name meanings. He knows them all. During his study of name meanings, Jarrah realized that there was tremendous opportunity in the field of "conversation changing". Being an expert already and having had way more awkward conversations than the average person due to his unique name, Jarrah decided he wanted to save the world from: awkward conversations! In the team of Fred and Jarrah, Jarrah is the street expert. He goes undercover in many different places to study conversations and how people change conversations. He hopes to write about his discoveries to help others change conversations, too. Right now, he is undercover at a high school and being forced to experience too many awkward conversations. He enjoys naming things and his plan to save the world is almost finished.
